For a long time now, I have wanted to have my own personalized daily expenses and income tracking application with reports generation capability that can be installed and used on Android Smartphones.

Lovable Ai will easily help you create the system but will not create an APK option for Installation. In this post I will explain step by step how I developed and installed my free PesaTrack app.
In simple terms, we will convert a website built with Lovable AI into a mobile app. I’ll also share how I created the PesaTrack app entirely using AI tools and then turned it into an installable Android application using Median.
By the end of this guide, you’ll have an installable app file you can test on your phone without changing your existing website.
What is Lovable Ai?
Lovable AI is a full-stack AI app-building platform that lets you create websites and apps just by typing a prompt of what you want in natural language.Instead of creating code manually, you just write in human language and the app does it for you.
The application reads your prompt and creates a Frontend interface (what users see), Backend (how it works), Database (stores data). and a live working app you can edit
Building Your Website with Lovable AI
Step 1: Open Your Project in Lovable AI
Open Lovable AI Official Website and Login or Sign up for a free account if you do not have an account. If you have used it before go to projects on Homepage and open your preferred project.
For new users, type what you want in the text bar on the Homepage. You can use ChatGpt to generate the prompt correctly. For my App I used this prompt.
I want an app that I can input every expense daily and every income so that I can track my money. It should record cash in and cash out too. After 7 days it should highlight the top expenditure item and Income too for the 7 days. I want it on Lovable. Everytime an item like expenditure is entered it is saved and is suggested next time i try to type the same. remove sign in capability. Add a date section PER RECORD for easy tracking. remove the net section and cashflow too. In the recent activity section add Exp and Inc after the activity. Eg Branding is an income.
Step 2: Testing Your Project Before Conversion
Take a moment to select the project you want to convert into an app. It’s a good idea to open the project in a separate tab and quickly test it to make sure:
Pages load correctly
Links work properly
Mobile layout looks good
Navigation works smoothly
Since the app will mirror your website experience, everything should already be functioning properly before conversion.
Step 3: Publish Your Website
You can add text adjustments once created. If you like the results, go ahead and publish. In the top-right corner, locate the Publish option and click it and copy the live public URL of your project. This needs to be a publicly accessible website link that anyone can visit online.
If your site has not been published yet, publish it first so Lovable AI generates a live website address. Keep this URL ready because you’ll need it in the next step.
Converting Website to Mobile App with Median
Step 4: Go to Median
To convert it to an App go to Median Official Website. On the homepage, you’ll see a field asking for your website or app URL. Paste the live URL you copied from Lovable AI.
Choose Build Your App. Median wraps your existing website inside a native mobile app container. This allows your website to behave like an installable Android or mobile application while keeping your existing functionality and content.
Step 5: Add Your App Details
Enter the App name, Brand name and Product title. Make sure capitalization matches your branding style. After that, enter your email address carefully to receive Build updates, Download links and Notifications about your app build. Click Start Building My App.
Step 6: Wait for the Build Process
Median will now begin preparing your mobile app build.Depending on your website size and configuration, this may take a few minutes. During this stage:
Keep the tab open
Avoid refreshing unnecessarily
Wait for the build process to complete
Step 7: Download the APK File
Once the process finishes, locate the download section. If you don’t immediately see it, scroll down the page. You’ll enter the build area where you can choose your build target.
For Android testing:
Open the dropdown menu
Select Download APK
This gives you an Android APK file that you can install directly onto your device for testing.
Step 8: Install and Test the App
Transfer the APK file to your Android device and install it.Click instal and start using it.
